Shrubs originated as a method of preservation and extraction, before the days of refrigeration. Vinegar was poured over fruits, roots, and herbs, to begin the process. In times of phyical distress, the infused vinegar was then strained off, and consumed for its medicinal content.
In a modern twist, Shrubs were also sweetened and then sipped or added to beverages, for their flavorful and beneficial properties.

Sip as is, or add 1 Tbsp of our Elderberry Shrub, per 6 to 12 ounces of sparkling or still water.
